Our journey began at 5:30 AM, heading to catch our flight to Lukla. A delay at the airport didn’t dampen my spirits as it was my first real trek, and the excitement was through the roof. When we finally boarded and approached Lukla’s famously short runway, I couldn’t help but wonder, “What if we don’t land?” But curiosity and thrill took over, and we landed safely.
